Since her first year in the business, when she earned the award "Rookie of the Year", Irene has worked tirelessly to make deals for her clients. Irene holds a BA from Pomona College and an MBA in
International Marketing from The American Graduate School of International Management. Prior to her real estate career, she worked in product management in the San Francisco Bay Area and in business consulting in Latin America, with particular focus in Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil and El Salvador.
Her background, coupled with her experience as both a licensee and real estate investor, provide her a broad base from which to guide her clients through their real estate sales and purchases. Often praised for her honesty and ethical business practice, Irene enjoys a high rate of referral business and treasures the friendships born along the way.
A La Jolla native, Irene enjoys the San Diego lifestyle with her husband and two young sons. When not working for clients, you can find her enjoying the outdoors and running around with (or away from) her young boys.


MELANIE PELAN AALBERS

Melanie has been in real estate almost from day one. Born in Northern Ireland, Melanie's first memories are of walking building sites and taking hotel reservations at the tender age of four. Her family's business was in home and hotel development as owners and operators. Melanie's real estate roots, combined with her own success in marketing, sales. development and asset management make her a great asset to her clients.
An alumna of The Bishop's School in La Jolla, Melanie obtained her BS in Hotel Administration from Cornell University and worked in hotel operation with ITT Sheraton/Starwood in La Jolla and New Orleans. She received her MBA, with an emphasis in finance and real estate, from Loyola University and coupling her personal experience with her formal education, she transitioned into consulting and performed hotel and resort feasibility studies nationwide before becoming an asset manager and owner's representative for several Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, Marriott, and Westin properties worldwide before transitioning back into the residential real estate market.
Melanie currently resides in La Jolla with her identical twin daughters. In addition to real estate, she is very involved in the local community. She is a current member of Las Patronas, a past president of the Junior League of San Diego and has served on the Board of the Bird Rock Foundation, Bird Rock Elementary Governance, Muirlands Foundation, and The Bishop's School Alumni Association. In her spare time, you can find her sailing or with her daughters and Australian Shepherd playing at the beach or at a lacrosse tournament.
MEGAN COX

Megan Cox was born in Texas and raised on the east coast. Megan experienced moving several times as a child living in Florida, New Jersey, North Carolina and Virginia. As a youngprofessional working for the management consulting firms ofAndersen Consulting and Booz Allen Hamilton she traveled extensively and relocated to La Jolla in 1996. During her career as Director of Recruiting, Megan built decades of experience helping individuals navigate career change as well as negotiatingcompensation and relocation packages on their behalf.
Her career transition to Real Estate was natural and leverages her strengths helping people during times change and of course negotiating for the best outcome. In both careers Megan has worked with young people just starting out to the most Senior Corporate Executives.
Megan has schooled age children and is an active community volunteer, serves on a non-profit Board and as a PTO President.
